Our Initiatives

Educating Students

Clemson University currently lacks the proper information and assistance to students in regard to sexual assault. This initiative aims to educate students, especially new students (freshmen and transfer students) on the realities of sexual assault on college campuses, as well as provide an exhaustive list of resources for students to utilize.

This movement began after numerous members were ignored by the Clemson Administration regarding a sexual assault on campus for over a year. Without the courage that many student advocates had to speak up and demand for administrative change, the movement would not be where it is today. Updating Clemson's Materials

We aim to review all public materials provided from different departments at Clemson University in order to fix any inaccuracies regarding statistics, facts, and available resources on or near campus, as well ensuring that all materials use trauma-informed language. Materials that have been reviewed or are currently under review include Healthy Campus, CUPD, CAPS, Academic Affairs, and the Office of Access & Equity.

This initiative aims to explore the lack of adequate care for survivors at Redfern and CAPS. With the help of Clemson Students for Survivors and the Sit-In, we are making strides towards great changes for Student Health Services at Clemson.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

It's On Us aims to unite our leadership team to discuss  and better understand issues and trends impacting diversity, equity, and inclusion at Clemson University and beyond. With discussions on reading materials covering various topics such as the BLM movement, Mass Incarceration, Colorism, Cultural Appropriation of Black Vernacular English, Tokenism, Violence Against Women of Color, and more, we hope to widen our leadership's perspective of the world and create a more inclusive and secure space for Clemson students of all identities.
